Obituary of Gulnare V. Wells

GULNARE V. WELLS Gulnare V. Wells, age 93, 2350 Louisville Road, Harrodsburg, mother of Barbara L. Von Borries, Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at her residence after a long illness. Born October 13, 1910 in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of the late John Slaughter and Gulnare Baker Long and was the widow of the late William V. Borries and the late Frank G. Wells. She was a homemaker and member of the Baptist Church. She was a talented artist and loved to draw and paint before her eye sight failed.. Survivors other than her daughter, include: a step son, Joe Frank and his wife Sue Wells, Newbury, Indiana; two step-grandchildren, James and Sarah Wells. Memorial services will be held Saturday at the L.D. Pearson & Son Funeral Home, 149 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, KY. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, Lexington/Bluegrass Chapter, 836 Euclid Ave., Suite 100, Lexington, KY 40502. The Ransdell Funeral Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.
