Betty Lois Jones Cox, 83, Burgin, died Wednesday; September 10, 2014 at the Christian Care Center, Lancaster. Born June 10,1931, in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Mary Lewis (Morgan) Jones Wood. Betty was a 1949 graduate of the Burgin High School and attended Fugazzi Business College. She was a member of the Burgin Baptist Church, and after 30 years, retired from the US Department of Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS).
Betty is survived by: one daughter: Brenda Carol (Harvey) Voris of Harrodsburg, a Sister; Mary Cecil Jones Thompson of Burgin, two Grand Children, Carol Ann (Billy Dan) Bottom of Burgin and Bryan Douglas (Kelly) Voris of Lancaster; and numerous Great Grandchildren.
