CharlesT. "Tommy"Pinkston, 74, Harrodsburg, KY, died at his home on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. Born February 25, 1940, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Vernice and Alma Pinkston. A lifelong resident of Mercer County and graduate of Georgetown College, Tommy was an educator in the Mercer School system for 34 years. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was an active member of Gideons Int'l and had served as a director for Fox Creek RECC. He is survived by his wife of over 52 years, Charlene Barnett Pinkston, and three sons and their families: Jeffery& Jeanine Pinkston, and their children, Lee and Allison of Union, KY; Lee Todd & Aimee Pinkston, and their children Meagan, Benjamin and Jonathan of Salvisa, KY; and Earl & Robin Pinkston, and their children Kathryn, Thomas and Nathan of Malta. He is also survived by three sisters, Joyce (Curtis) Sherrow, Frances Moore, and Roxie Pinkston, all of Harrodsburg, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral serviceswill be 2 PM Sat., Oct. 11, 2014, at the Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Pallbearers: Clark Bugg, David & John Moore, Lee, Benjamin, Jonathan, Thomas & Nathan Pinkston. Honorary bearers: Bethel Baptist Deacons and Bethel Adult Men's Sunday School Class. Memorials are suggested to: Gideons International, P.O.
