Alma Jean Steele, 81, Harrodsburg, widow of William Roy Steele, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at home. Born October 29, 1933, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and the late Lily (Satterly) Harley. She was a homemaker and member of the Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors: three children, Judy (John) Harris, Terry Steele, and Brent (Debbie) Steele, all of Mercer County; one grandchild, Leslie (David) Elliott of Boyle County; one great grandchild, Hayden Carter Elliott of Boyle County; three step grandchildren, Brooke (Scott) Elder, Brandi Horn, and Brittani (Jeff) Brown; four step great grandchildren, Bayleigh Moore, Weston & Colton Horn, and Bryson Brown. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Garland and Mary Rose Harley, and a nephew, Jerry Royalty Services 2 PM Sat., April 18, 2015, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John McDaniel and Brad King. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Friday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are Gary Walton, Mike Darland, Jimmy Dale Hawthorne, Ronnie Cole, Mike Robinson, and Gilbert Pulliam. Honorary bearers are Jim Hawthorne, Charles Sims, Garvey Barnett, Martha Sims and Mandy Whalen. Memorials are suggested to Gideon Bible Fund.
