Emma Jean Peavler, 88, Harrodsburg, widow of Paul W. Peavler, died Sunday, July 26, 2015, at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center, Harrodsburg. Born May 31, 1927, in Mercer Co., she was the daughter of the late Van Robert and Ottie Sebastian (Woods) Hurst. She was a retired seamstress for Cricketeer Mfg. and was a member of The Carpenter's Christian Church. Survivors include: one daughter, Shirlene P. Reed of Harrodsburg; two sons, Paul Wayne Peavler of Salvisa, and Steve Peavler of Danville; grandchildren, Tony, Jason, and Thomas Peavler, Jennifer Sargent, Todd & Steven Sagracy, Paula Peavley, Helena Elam, Todd Ransdell, Stacy Reister, and Christy Cheek; several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Bobby Peavler and grandson Brent Peavler, two siblings, Elwood and Roberta Hurst. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wed., July 29, 2015, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Greg Warren. Burial will follow in Deep Creek Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation 5-8 pm Tue., Ransdell's. Pallbearers are: Tony Peavler, Jennifer Sargent, Jason Peavler, Thomas Peavler, Todd Sagracy, Steven Sagracy, Paula Peavley, Helena Elam, Todd Ransdell, Stacy Reister and Christy Cheek Memorials suggested to: The Carpenter's Christian Church, 1340 US-127 BYP, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
