Obituary of Lonnie Rhea Thompson

Lonnie R. Thompson, 80 of Salvisa, husband of Wilna Dawson Thompson, died Wednesday at his home in Salvisa, KY. Born December 12,1935, in Greenwood , IN, to the late William and Alice (Wooldridge) Thompson. Lonnie was a retired Truck Driver for Lawrenceburg Transfer and a member of the Mayo Christian Church. Lonnie is survived by: his wife: Wilna (Dawson) Thompson and two sons: Todd (Lorie) Thompson and Eddie Lee Thompson, Grandson, Eli (Christa) Thompson, all of Salvisa and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son; Carol G. Thompson. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Friday; January 29 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Pallbearers will be: Danny Brock, Steven Goodlett, Howard Fallis, John Goodlett, Lynn Royalty, Mark Gash, Alan Thomas and Darrell Ellis. Honorary Bearers will be: Bobby Hardin, Bruce Thompson, Jim Sayre, Kenny Smith, Ralph Morris, Dennis Williams, Scott Patton and Stanley Patton. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Saturday; January 30 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Todd Thompson, George Dye and Eli Thompson. Burial will follow in the Kirkwood Cemetery, Salvisa. The family request memorial donations be sent to Heritage Hospice, P.O. Box 1213, Danville, KY 40422
