Obituary of Thurman Long Jr.

Thurman H. Long Jr., 73, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at the Suncoast Hospice Care Center of North Pinellas, Palm Harbor, FL. Born June 24, 1942, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Thurman and Aleen Lake Long. He attended Harrodsburg High School and served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam war. He returned to Harrodsburg to work with his father and brother at Long's Auto Sales and later ran Long's Men Store on main street. Survivors include: three children, Sherida, Holly and Stephen W. Long, all of Crestwood, KY, three sisters, Maxine Phillips, Bonnie (Kenneth) Meredith, and Brenda (Eddie) Young; one brother, Ronnie (Martha) Long; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 AM Sat., April 30, 2016, in the Spring Hill Cemetery, with military honors. Memorials are suggested to: Disabled American Veterans, P. O.
