Obituary of James Matthew Darland

James Matthew "Matt" Darland, 21, Harrodsburg, died Thursday, July 21, 2016, as result of a motor vehicle collision. Born November 3, 1994, in Boyle Co., he was the son of Tim Darland and Lisa Miller (Kevin) Jordan, all of Harrodsburg. He was a graduate of Mercer Co. Senior High School, attending Campbellsville Univ., and recently received his Phlebotomy certification. He was also an employee of Pizza Hut. Matt was a Mustang enthusiast and was a member of the RACE 859 Club. Survivors other than his parents include: a son, Brantley Matthew Darland of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Tabitha (Spencer) Conover and Lexi Darland, both of Harrodsburg; four brothers, Timmy (Chasaty) Darland and Jeremy Ross, both of Harrodsburg, Jason Keeler of Louisville, and Clint Coffman of Lexington; maternal grandmother, Barbara Coffey of Harrodsburg; paternal grandfather, James Darland of Harrodsburg. Matt was preceded in death by grandparents, Jerry Miller and Dorothy Ashton. Funeral services 2PM Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Aaron Warner. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Tuesday, Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers: Blake Bandy, Brian Baker, "Big" Mike Aubrey, Zac Wiley, Chris Linton and Landon Miller. Memorials are suggested to benefit Brantley Matthew Darland in memory of his father.
