Obituary of Mary Lee Wilkerson

Mary Lee Wilkerson, 85, Harrodsburg, widow of Othor "Buck" Wilkerson, died Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the UK Medical Center, Lexington. Born May 21,1931, in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Walter Benton Deringer and Mattie Settles Deringer. She was a homemaker, a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church, enjoyed playing cards at Senior Citizens, traveling and quilting. Mary is survived by: one son, Mark (Tina) Wilkerson of Harrodsburg; three sisters, Juanita Bottom of Mackville, Ella Rose Bottoms of Georgetown and Shirley Logue of Harrodsburg; one brother, Marvin Deringer of Harrodsburg; two grandchildren, Holly Jo Childers and Jeremy Wade Wilkerson; two great grandchildren, Rylan Paige Childers and Collins Wynn Wilkerson; a sister-in-law, Mary Lucy Tate; several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by a son, Paul Wade Wilkerson and brother, Reuben Deringer. Visitation will be Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 4-8 PM at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers will be: Jeremy Wilkerson, Donnie Bottoms, Wayne Deringer, Howard Logue Jr., Greg Deringer and Otho Tate. Funeral service will be held Friday at 12:00 pm at Deep Creek Baptist Church, with visitation after 9, by Ken Wade and Lewis Walter. Burial will follow in the Deep Creek Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
