Onita Sanders, 94, Harrodsburg, widow of Arthur Lewis Sanders, died Friday, February 17, 2017, at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg. Born April 29, 1922, in Washington Co., she was the daughter of the late Bernice and Viola (Robinson) Sallee. She was a retired seamstress for Cricketeer Mfg. and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. Onita enjoyed gardening, music and spending time with her family. Survivors include: one son, Terry M. Sanders of Harrdsoburg; two sisters, Buena Baker and Bonnie Barnett, both of Harrodsburg; two grandchildren, Sherri Spain and Greg Barnett; five great grandchildren, Heather Craddock, Megan Crossfield, Shelly Spain, Chris Barnett, and Jamie Barnett; six great great grandchildren, Nate Sims, Kameron Mallory, Lincoln Crossfield, Maleeah Smith, Langston Spain, and Kinlee Mallory. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Wanda Smith and Patricia Barnett, five sisters, Dorothy Snyder, Louise Duncan, Shirley James, Eloise Poulter, and Frances Warner, and two grandsons, Keith Sallee and Rod Barnett. Funeral services 2 PM Monday, February 20, 2017, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by James Harley. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be Monday from 12 PM until the hour of service at Ransdell's. Pallbearers: J. R. Craddock, Will Crossfield, Eddie Allen, Brandon Armstrong, Nate Sims and Harry Barnett.
