Richard Myer Banks, 64, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Mary Ellen Banks, died Friday, March 31, 2017, at home. Born March 8, 1953, in Huntingdon, PA, he was the son of Rev. Merrill Leroy Banks and the late Shirley Bernard Banks. Richard owned and operated his own dog grooming business.
Other survivors, in addition to his wife, include one daughter: Wendy Lynn Banks of Harrodsburg, and two sons: Travis Wade Banks of Harrodsburg, and Eric Scott Banks of Tulsa, OK,; his father Merrill Leroy Banks; one sister: Judith Hewitt of ND and one brother: Dennis Merle Banks of Huntingdon, PA; he also has one Granddaughter, Ashley Dewhirst.
Memorial services in Pennsylvania will be scheduled in the future.
