Obituary of Dorothy Fay VanArsdall

Dorothy Fay VanArsdall, 94, Harrodsburg, widow of Alford Willard VanArsdall, died Thursday at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born January 6,1923, in Washington County, to the late John Harvey and late Ethel (Curtsinger) Darnell. She was a retired seamstress from Cricketeer, and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
 Dorothy is survived by: two daughters: Trudy (Carrol) Montgomery, Rita (Gary) Herring, and a son: Alford H. VanArsdall all of Harrodsburg, one sister: Nancy (Oscar) Bailey of Danville,  special friend, Brenda Proctor of Harrodsburg; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great  grandchildren, fourteen great great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Lester, daughter-in-law, Kathy VanArsdall, son in law, Ricky Lester and one grandchild.
 Visitation will be 5-8pm Saturday; July 15 and prior to the service on Sunday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel,  Harrodsburg, KY.
Pallbearers will be: David Herring, Mark VanArsdall, Timothy Lester, Terry Montgomery, Johnny Montgomery and Michael Montgomery.
 Funeral service will be 2 pm Sunday at  Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Lynn Releford and James Harley. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
 The family request memorial donations be sent to Gideons International, P.O. Box 176, Harrodsburg, KY 40330
