Obituary of Sharon Girton

~~Sharon Faye Girton, 63, Harrodsburg, KY, wife of Jeffrey Donald Girton, died Friday, September 22, 2017 at Baptist Health Lexington. Born June 29, 1954, in Gallipolis, OH, but grew up in New Haven, WVA, she was the daughter of the late Paul A. and Mary L. Fry Rickard.

     She was a retired Computer Programmer for Corning Glass, was a member of Lafayette Chapter 222 Oder of Eastern Star, Selinsgrove, PA, she loved genealogy, won many awards for her quilting and was an Amateur Radio Operator, call sign N3SGE for 26 years.
    Survivors other than her husband: one daughter: Jennifer (Matthew) Devensky of Harrodsburg, KY and one son: Jeremy (Andrea) Girton of Mobile, AL. One sister: Debra (David) Hungate of Vienna, WVA, Grandchildren: Ian & Isabelle Devensky. Sharon was preceded in death by her Sister: Paula Rickard.
    Visitation will be Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 5-8 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel,  Harrodsburg, KY.
    Funeral service will be held in Selinsgrove, PA later this week. Burial will follow in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Selinsgrove, PA.
