HAZEL LAVERN ROBINSON Hazel Lavern Sanders Robinson, age 90, widow of the late Alvin Paul Robinson, 440 Bate Street, died Thursday, July 17th at her residence after a long illness. Born December 15, 1913 in Washington Co. she was the daughter of the late John Morris and Julia Ann Mullins Sanders and the last of nine children. She was a retired seamstress of the former Cricketer Manufacturing Company, a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church for 56 years where she served as a choir member for 53 years, a member of the Young at Heart Group, and a member of the WMU for several years. Survivors include two sons, Charles T. Robinson and Michael W. and his wife Joyce Robinson both of Harrodsburg; two daughters, Mrs. Kenny Bob Horn and Mrs. Harry (Glenda) Burke both of Harrodsburg; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, July 19th at the Hopewell Baptist Church conducted by Richard Easterling, Chuck Robinson and Cleo Goodlett. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 PM Friday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel and after 10:00 AM Saturday until the hour of service at the Church. Memorials are suggested to Heritage Hospice or to the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Active pallbearers will be the grandchildren and honorary bearers will be the great grandchildren.
