ALBERT K. MEINZE Albert K. Meinze, age 80, 218 El Conquistator Place, Louisville, widower of Margaret Angeline Chapman Meinze, died Monday, September 15th at the St. Mathews Manor Nursing Home in Louisville. Born November 11, 1922 in New Port, KY he was the son of the late Albert and Virginia DeMarcus Meinze, he was a former mayor of Florence, KY, a retired Senior Vice President of ATE Management and Service Co. Inc. of Cincinnati, President of Transit Management of Florida, Inc, a subsidiary of ATE, an Army Veteran of World War II where he became a member of the American Ex Prisoners of War, the Disabled American Veterans, the Military order of The Purple Heart, and received The Bronze Star with An Oak Leaf, was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Bardstown Road Presbyterian Church. Survivors include three sons, Jon Meinze, Louisville, Michael Meinze, Shelbyville, and Mark and his wife Donna Meinze, Richmond, KY; two granddaughters, Melissa Meinze and Jillian Meinze. He was preceded in death by two brothers Fredrick and William Meinze. Graveside memorial services will be conducted 10:00 AM Thursday, September 18th at the Spring Hill Cemetery with Military Rites. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association (Post Office Box 198, Burgin, KY 40310) or Hospice of Louisville (Department 52420 Post Office Box 70, Louisville, KY 402333-9901 {Please note who in memory of, who to acknowledge and if a return acknowledment is necessary}). The Ransdell Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
