WILLIAM EDWARD “ED” ROBERTSON William Edward “Ed” Robertson, age 69, 663 East Office Street, husband of Virginia Ann Durr Robertson, died Monday, September 15th at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born April 28, 1934 in Covington, KY, he was the son of the late J.T. “Pop” Robertson and Beulah Wilson Robertson, was a retired Lab Technician for Corning Glass Works of Harrodsburg, was active with Mercer Co. Little League Programs including Pee-wee, Minors, Majors, and Babe Ruth from 1962 until 1973, and was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church. Survivors besides his wife include two sons, Jack and his wife Joy Robertson and Jeff and his wife Sharyn Robertson, all of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren, Mathew, Monica, and Ann Katherine Robertson, Harrodsburg; he was preceded in death by a brother J.E. Robertson. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 PM Thursday, September 18th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rick Snyder, Jerel Coffey, and Larry Camic. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 pm Wednesday and after 7:30 AM Thursday at the chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Harrodsburg Baptist Church Maintenance Fund. Pallbearers are Floyd “Buddy” Shirley, Everett Hall, Jr., Bud Hahn, Don Billy Caton, T.C. Claunch, Bobby Burton, Bill Elliott, Sr., and Charles Johnstone. Honorary bearers are members of Mr. Robertson’s Sunday School Class, John Sparrow, Larry and David Camic.
