Obituary of Alice Gibson Shepperson

ALICE JUNE SHEPPERSON Alice June Gibson Shepperson, age 57, 107 Carrigan Road, Elkins, Arkansas, formerly of Harrodsburg died Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at her residence of natural causes. Born November 20, 1945 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late William Conrad and Alice Fuller Gibson. She was a 1963 graduate of Harrodsburg High School and a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in elementary education, she has been for the past thirteen years an elementary school teacher at Elkins Elementary School in Elkins, Arkansas, a member of the Arkansas Reading Association, and a member of the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Survivors include two sons, Baxter Shepperson, Vista, California and Billy Shepperson, Douglas Wyoming; two sisters, Martha Duff, Richmond and Ann Robbins, Conway, Arkansas and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, John T. “Jack” Gibson. Graveside memorial services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, October 17, 2003 in the Spring Hill Cemetery by Mary Black. There will be no visitation. The Ransdell Funeral Chapel is in charge of local arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Elkins Elementary Library, P.O.B. 322, Elkins, Arkansas 72727.
