Garland Hoskins, 99, Salvisa, KY, widower of Corina Drury Hoskins, died Saturday, March 11, 2023, at his home. Born February 16, 1924, in Anderson County, KY he was the son of the late Sherman and Addie (Drury) Hoskins. He was a retired carpenter and farmer, Army veteran of WWII, and was a member of the Antioch Christian Church,Willisburg. Survivors include: one daughter, Duanne Steele of Salvisa, KY; one sister, Faye Stratton of Harrodsburg, KY; two grandchildren, Gay Sims and Keith (Angie) McDonald, Mercer Co., KY; three great grandchildren, Kaleb, Blake & Jonh Ross McDonald; special friends and caregivers, Lona Reynolds, Glenda huffman, and Denisha Johnson. He was preceded in death by seven siblings, Wilmer, Clinton, and Clellan Hoskins, Geneva Terrell, Tinsey Drury, Velma Darnall, and Nellon Catlett. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Tues., Mar. 14, 2023, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by Bart Price. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, Willisburg, KY. Visitation will be 10 AM until 1 PM, Tuesday, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers are: Kaleb McDonald, Jerrod Combs, Kenny Long, Travis Bowen, Rodney Durr, and Nathan Hoskins. Honorary bearers are: John & Blake McDonald, Dallas Waterfield, Marcus Drury, Danny Darnall, Troy Stratton and Ray Hoskins.
