Obituary of Harry McCoy Jr.
Harry McCoy, 86, Harrodsburg, widower of Linda Mattis McCoy, died Monday, August 27, 2018, at his home.
Born January 18, 1932, in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Harry A. and Inez (Powers) McCoy. Harry was retired from the US Navy and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a faithful member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Tia Curry; four sons, Robert, Joseph, Anthony, and Mark McCoy. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ronica McCoy.
Services with military honors will be held 11 AM Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018 at the Harrodsburg Baptist Church by Colby Flowers and Daryl Catlett. A private burial will take place in Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY. There will be a brief gathering from 10:30 AM until service time Thursday at the church.
