HAZEL L. LAY
Hazel L. Lay, age 95, Chestnut Street, Harrodsburg, widow of Edward Lay, died Friday, October 29, 2004 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born August 20, 1090 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Houston and Lillie Peavler Lester. She was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two nephews, Harold Lester and Lawrance Lay, Jr. both of Harrodsburg; one niece Imogene Lay Gordon of Harrodsburg; several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 pm Sunday, October 31st at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dr. Robert DeFoor. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Ben Hill, Thad Lester, Derek Lester, Samuel Carr, Eddie Lay, and Roger Pratt. Honorary bearers are Larraine Tackett and Christine McGrath.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6 until 8 pm and prior to the service on Sunday at the chapel.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of ones choice.
