Benton Messer, 91, died, Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at the University Of Louisville Hospital - Shelbyville. Born June 7, 1948, in Hazard, KY, he was the son of the late Alfred and Nannie (Holland) Messer. He was a Retired Farmer.

Other survivors include: Special Niece, Tammy Miranda; Special Nephew, Jessey Lister; Brother, Willie Messer; Sister, Rachel Cornett. He was preceded in death by ten siblings, Bert, Carew, Adam, Eli, Ernest, John, Dora, Della, Sally, and Callie, as well as his partner of 50 years, Lula Lister.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, December 9, 2022, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Inc. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, Friday, Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Inc..

Pallbearers: Cordelle, Cody, and Cliff Lister, Timmy McAllister, Aiden Alba, and Gabby Berry.
