Harold Laverne Gritton, age 96, of Harrodsburg, husband of Anna “Lillian” (Thompson) Gritton, died Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Harrodsburg Health & Rehabilitation. Harold was born March 24, 1927 in Harrodsburg, KY. He is the son of the late Minn and Stattie (Robinson) Gritton. He was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and a retired tool maker for IBM.

He is survived by his wife: Lillian Gritton; One son: Jerry (Sharon) Gritton; Two Step Sons Bobby (Robin) Riley and Garry (Michelle) Riley; ten grandchildren: Todd Gritton, Scarla (Dwayne) Hahn, Susetta (Sean) Green, Anna (Bill) Robinson, Peggy (Phillip) Combs, Selina Bowman, Brittany (Brad) Embry, Clinton (Danielle) Riley, Matthew (Rachel) Riley and Leah (Brian) Sharpe; One niece, Freida (Jim) Moore; Several Great Grandchildren and two Great Great Grandchildren.

Harold is preceded in death by his Brother, Thurman Gritton.

Funeral Services will be held at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington Street, Harrodsburg, KY on March 22, 2024 at 1pm with Matthew Riley and Doug Wesley officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg KY. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm March 22, 2024 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

Pallbearers: Clinton Riley, Blake Clarkson, Todd Gritton, Mike Dean, Caleb Grider, Layne Hahn and Logan Hahn.
