Wayne Young Morris, age 81, husband of Ivana (Eckl) Morris, of Lancaster KY, died Wednesday, November 20, 2024 in Bad Durkheim, Germany. Born July 3, 1943 in Harrodsburg, KY, to the late Clarence Overstreet and Emma (Thomas) Morris. Wayne was of the Christian faith, a Veteran and retired HR Specialist for the Department of Defense/Civil Service in the United States Army. Wayne received many awards and metals during his time in the Army; National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge and Sharp Shooter Badge (Rifle). He is survived by his wife: Ivana (Eckl) Morris; three children; two brothers: Carroll Morris and Ralph Morris; a sister, Shelby Morris; and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers; Garnett Morris, Aubrey Morris, Larry Morris, James "J.R." Morris and Stanley Bennett Morris and his sisters; Mildred Irene Crum and Mary Joyce Niederlehner. A Memorial Service will be held 11:30 AM, Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 1:30 PM, in Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville on Friday, December 27th.
