Ava Jewell Horn, age 101, widow of Willie B. Horn, of Harrodsburg died Thursday, February 20, 2025 at The Willows of Harrodsburg KY. Born June 5, 1923 in Washington County, KY, to the late Merrill and Lillie (Robinson) Long. Ava Jewell was a member and past Secretary of Calvary Baptist Church and she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist Association, WMU and was a loving Christian Inspiration to her friends and family.

She is survived by one daughter: Brenda (Bill) Rogers of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren: Will (Stephanie) Rogers of Harrodsburg, Dana (John) Perkins of Versailles and Lynette (Michael) Lawson of London; nine Great Grandchildren: Kayla & Nick Grimard, William & Lily Rogers, Brynna, Adam & Braden Lawson, Brian Perkins &’ Ashley Tuschl; four Great Great Grandchildren: Cason Lee Martin, Avery Lawson, Hagen Perkins and Anna Tuschl; two Special Friends, David Baker and Jeanetta Devine.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Willie B. Horn, Sister, Leoda L. Carter, Brother, Leon Long and Great Granddaughter, Jessica Bryn Lawson.

The funeral will be held at 2pm on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington Street, Harrodsburg, KY with Bro. Daniel Smith, Larry Camic, David Baker and Dr. Robert Defoor officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday February 23, 2025 from 4pm-8pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
