Obituary of Joey Lee Catron

Joey Lee Catron, age 47, husband of Shannon (Baker) Catron, of Salvisa KY, died Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at home. Born January 12, 1978 in Hazard, KY, to the late Danny Lee and Helen Joann (Crum) Catron. Joey was a disabled Veteran and former Railroad employee. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on his farm. He served in the Marine Corps from 04/29/1999 to 05/18/2007 were he was awarded multiple metals: Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (Combat "V"), Ribbon (Iraq), Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (3rd Award), Iraq Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War And Terrorism Service Medal and Korean Defense Service Medal. He is survived by his wife: Shannon Catron , two daughters: Shaelyn Catron and Ella Catron, and one son; Gavin Catron all of Salvisa, KY; one sister: Kristi Catron of OH; Mother and Father In-Law, Bobby & Donna Baker of Hazard, KY; Mother And Father In-Law, Hurley & Polly Combs of London, KY.
