Gloria Jean “Jenny” Hume, age 68, of Harrodsburg, KY, wife of Michael Hume, died Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center of Danville, KY. Gloria was born October 24, 1956 in Harrodsburg, KY, to the late Hubert Shannon and the late Hazel (Devine) Baker. She was lifelong homemaker, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Gloria loved spending time with her family, especially her great granddaughter Olivia.

Survivors include: her husband, Michael Hume, Harrodsburg, KY; two daughters, April Hume of Harrodsburg, KY and Heather (Adam) Wise of Danville, KY; one son, Michael Hume Jr. of Harrodsburg, KY; three sisters, Lisha (Carl) Watts of Harrodsburg, KY, Janet (Rodney) Raley of Harrodsburg, KY and Angie Morrison of Lexington, KY; one brother, Hubert Shannon Jr. of Mercer Co., KY; two grandchildren, Hannah Hume & Jacob Turner; one great granddaughter, Olivia Turner; several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert & Patsy Shannon and Hazel & Donald Baker.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington St., Harrodsburg, KY, with Derek Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

Visitation is Wednesday, May 14th from 11 am - 2 pm, Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

Pallbearers are: Bobby Devine Jr., Hannah and Gary Hume, Jacob Turner, Aaron & Rodney Raley.
