Obituary of Anna Hooker

Anna Hooker, age 90, of Danville, widow of Foster Hooker, died Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Henson Park Health and Rehabilitation in Danville, KY. Born March 16, 1935 in Harrodsburg, KY, to the late Frank Woodson and Clara (Routt) Langford. Anna was a former cashier for Super Key Market for many years, she was also a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Danville KY. She enjoyed gardening, working in flowers, cooking and listening to WDFB Christian radio station. She is survived by one daughter: Miranda (Doug) Ruggles; one son John (Barb) Hooker; one sister: Bettie Hager; six grandchildren: Amanda Hooker, John Hooker, Sabe (Ciara) Ruggles, Lucas Ruggles, Wyatt (Maria) Ruggles and Olivia Ruggles; three great grandchildren: Kye Washington, Avery Ruggles and Bailey Ruggles; and several Nieces and Nephews. She is proceeded in death by her Son, Gardner McKay Hooker, Brother, Robert Langford, Brother, Dodger Langford, Brother, Raymond Langford, Sister, Arah Wright, and Sister, Viola Dreon. The funeral will be 1pm on Friday, May 30 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington Street, Harrodsburg, KY with James McPherson officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Danville on Friday, May 30, 2025. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm on Friday May 30, 2025 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers: Doug, Sabe, Lucas and Wyatt Ruggles, John Hooker and Jim Metz. Honorary Pallbearers: Ciara and Olivia Ruggles, Vicky May, Barbara Hunt, Amanda Hooker, Maria Wilburn, Kim Metz and Libby Jenkins. Memorials have been suggested to Meals on Wheels for Boyle Co.
