Arvid “Rador” Tackett, age 81, husband of Ruby (Goforth) Tackett, of Harrodsburg died Monday, June 23, 2025 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. Born September 15, 1943 in Pikeville, KY to the late Orbe and Marmie (Roberts) Tackett. Arvid was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and he was a retired employee from Hitachi. He loved restoring antique cars and trucks; and loved collecting guns, knives and ball caps.

He is survived by his wife: Ruby (Goforth) Tackett two sons: Randy (Karen) Tackett and James (Tina Boyd) Tackett; Brother of four sisters: Pat (Donnie Phillips) Yeast, Linda (Dennis) Shewmaker, Jean Compton and Joyce Hall; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his Sister, Marcella White, Brothers, Richard, Orville, & Gary Tackett, and Brother, John Holt.

The funeral will be held 12pm Friday June 27, 2025 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington St., Harrodsburg, KY with Terry Cooper and Lynn Releford officiating with burial to follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg KY. Visitation will be Thursday June 26, 2025 from 5pm-8pm.

Pallbearers: Jeremy Conner, Aaron Taylor, Madison Tackett, Shannon Yeast, JD Tackett and Isaac Compton. Honorary Pallbearers: All Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
