Donald "Donnie" Ray Tatum, husband of Donna M. (Montgomery) Tatum, age 80, of Harrodsburg died Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at home. Born January 18, 1945 in Harrodsburg, KY to the late Clarence Vernon and Sadie Lee (Sallee) Tatum. Donnie was a retired Unit Operator from Kentucky Utilities. He enjoyed farming, mowing and spending time with the grandkids.
He is survived by his wife: Donna M. Tatum , one daughter: Denise (Elwood) McGlothin and one son: Dewayne (Heather) Tatum; four sisters: Kathleen Tatum Fain, Betty J. Tatum, Dorothy Lynn Bottom and Brenda Carol (Harold) Thorton, and two brothers: Roy Allen (Barbara) Tatum and Vernon Lee (Betty) Tatum; eight grandchildren; Meagan Faircloth, Dakota Motley, Tom C. Motley, Elizabeth Motley, Squire Motley, Keira Propes, Ethan Tatum and D.J. Tatum; three great grandchildren, Georgia, Nicolous & Ella Faircloth.
He was preceded in death by his Brother, Robert E. Tatum Sr. and Sister, Martha Ann Johnson.
Funeral service will be 2pm Friday August 8, 2025 with Derek Baker officiating at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington Street, Harrodsburg KY 40330. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery Pavilion. Visitation will be Friday August 8, 2025 from 11am-2pm.
