Richard Hilton Selleck, II, age 76, of Harrodsburg died Thursday, September 25, 2025 at UK Medical Center of Lexington, KY. Born April 24, 1949 in Harrodsburg, KY to the late Richard Hilton and Elizabeth S. (Sharp) Selleck. Richard retired from the State Government after being with them for 20 years. He was an Air Force veteran, a member of Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church, a member of “KMI” Kentucky Military Institute class of 1967, and an active member of KMI alumni’s association. He had a Bachelors Degree from GA Tech in Ceramic Engineering and had additional graduate work at GA Tech. Richard was an avid tennis player and GA Tech football fan.
He is survived by his first cousin, Rick Crossfield of Harrodsburg KY; Sabrina (Rodney) Stevens and family of Somerset, KY, whom he saw as a pseudo daughter; a special niece, Lacy Smith of FL and a bunch of family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3pm Saturday October 11, 2025, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington Street, Harrodsburg KY, 40330 with burial to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday October 11, 2025 from 1pm until service starts.
