Joyce Johnson, age 88, widow of Wendell Johnson, of Harrodsburg died Friday, September 26, 2025 at The Willows At Harrodsburg in Harrodsburg, KY. Born February 27, 1937 in Lawrenceburg, KY to the late Edd and Ruby (Durr) Bailey. Joyce retired for Mercer Co. School Systems as a cafeteria lady, was a member of Magnolia Christian Church, sang in the Gospel Quartet and loved to fish.

She is survived by one daughter: Karen (Michael) Goodlett and one son: Richard Gayle Johnson; four grandchildren; Lynette (Nick) McKinney, Hope (Darren) Ransdell, Leslye (Clay) Turner and Sessani (Kevin) Withers; nine great grandchildren; Brantley, Hailey, Conley & Judley McKinney, Bella & Reese Ransdell, Taylor & Brooklyn Withers and Judewynn Turner; one brother in law; Elton Johnson and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her Sisters, Emma Dee West, Frances Cox and Aileen Cloyd and daughter in law Judy Johnson.

The funeral will be held 1pm on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington Street, Harrodsburg, KY with Derek Baker, Trent Baker and Rich Mardis officiating. Burial will follow at Mayo Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 5 - 8 PM at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington St., Harrodsburg, KY.
