Pamela Gail Johnson, MD, age 76, of Harrodsburg died Friday, October 10, 2025 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center of Danville, KY. Pamela was born July 1, 1949 in Hollywood, CA. She is the daughter of the late Larkin D. and the late Joan Rose (Bamber) Johnson.

Dr. Johnson was a retired Pediatrician and longtime owner of Mercer Pediatrics. She received her Phd from Kansas State Univ., was a graduate of the Univ. of Kentucky Medical School, and served her Pediatric Residency at the Univ. of Alabama - Birmingham. She was a member of the AMA, KMA, and Fellow of American Pediatrics. Dr. Johnson was an active member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church, serving in various roles over the years. She had also served on the Mercer County Health Dept. Board for many years and was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, serving as Queen in 2007.

She is survived by; two sisters, Paula (Joe) Hubbard of Harrodsburg, KY, and Susan (Jim) Wade of Lexington, KY; a niece, Laura Kelly; great nephew & great niece, Cole & Olivia Kelly; a special sister, Leslie Manning; cousins, Beverly Bratcher, Chris Johnson, Deniese (Mark) Reinhardt, Martha (Richard) Payne, and David (Melanie) Hardesty. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Charles Machir Pyles.

A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, 312 South Main Street, Harrodsburg, KY with Garland Hawkins and Sylvia Baker-Noren officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, November 1st from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Harrodsburg Baptist Church. Everyone is invited to wear Kentucky Wildcat Blue in honor of Pam.

Honorary Bearers are: Cole Kelly, Jim Wade, Joe Hubbard, Miles Jackson, Hadden Dean, Bobby Reister, Chris Johnson, and John Wayne Peavler.
