Erica (Bascom) Anderson, 41, of Indianapolis, Indiana

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Erica (Bascom) Anderson, age 41, of Indianapolis, Indiana, who tragically lost her life on October 13, 2025, in Columbus, Georgia.

Erica was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She recently began her dream role as a professor in the Theater Department at Columbus State University, where she shared her passion for costume design and inspired countless students.

She loved spending time outdoors with her family, decorating for the holidays, and especially cherished Easter, her favorite time of year. Her creativity, warmth, and kindness brightened every life she touched.

Erica is survived by her husband, John “Andy” Anderson; the children, Jade 10 yr, Noah 9 yr , and Sky 14 yr ; her parents, Ray and Kathy Bascom, Harrodsburg; and her sisters, Tracee (Landon) Humble, Harrodsburg, and Corrie (Devin) Joyce, Lawrenceburg, her nieces Landry, McKenna, Lorelei and Riley, along with several loving aunts, uncles and friends . Preceded in death by maternal grandfather Wesley (Blanca) Moore and beloved “Grammy” Beverly (Richard) Bascom

Her spirit will live on through the love she gave so freely. A Celebration of Life will be at The Carpenter’s Christian Church, Thursday, October 30, 2025, 5 pm until 7 PM.
