Danny Joe Lister, age 71, widower of Janet (Quinn) Lister, of Harrodsburg died Monday, October 27, 2025 at home in Harrodsburg KY. Born September 6, 1954 in Harrodsburg, KY to the late Edgar and Lula (Turpin) Lister. Danny retired from Burgin Independent School Systems as a custodian. He was a simple man that enjoyed farming and listening to music.

He is survived by two daughters: Stella (Thomas) Stewart of Harrodsburg, KY and Stephanie (Anthony) Redford of Danville, KY; three brothers: Conder (Brenda) Lister of Junction City, Elwood (Gloria) Lister and Carter (JoAnn) Lister both of Harrodsburg, KY; four grandchildren Hannah, Blake, Skylar and Brayden Redford; three great grandchildren; Avayah Redford, Kailen and Greysen Ford; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

The funeral will be held 1pm on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington Street, Harrodsburg, KY with Terry Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in Burgin Memorial Garden, Harrodsburg KY. Visitation will be 11am-1pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Blake Redford, Skylar Redford, Brayden Redford, Cliff Lister, John Tucker and Thomas Stewart.
