Betty Smock, age 68, of Harrodsburg died Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. Born September 9, 1957 in Louisville, KY to Betty (Parker) Cox and the late Charles Cox. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and retired as the account receivable clerk for Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Betty enjoyed watching the Colts play football, watching movies and attending concerts with friends. She was an avid Trekkie (Star Trek Fan) as well, but most of all loved spending as much times with her children as possible, whom love and miss her greatly.

She is survived by one daughter: Mandy Smock and one son: Stacy Smock both of Harrodsburg, KY; her mother Betty Cox of Harrodsburg, KY; one sister: Linda (Mike) Tarter of Harrodsburg, KY and one brother: Jerry Cox of Louisville, KY; former husband, Kevin Smock; niece, Cynthia Tarter and nephew, Greg Hume.

The memorial service will be held 3pm on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington Street, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be from 1pm-3pm Wednesday November 5, 2025 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
