Janice Louise Sims, 70, widow of Henry Lee Sims, of Harrodsburg, KY, died Friday, October 31, 2025, at home. Born October 7, 1955, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Bobby Eugene and Alice (Pitman) Baker. Janice was a homemaker and the best grand and great grandmother ever. Janice enjoyed watching her game shows and Heartland, she also enjoyed the lottery and bingo. She had a special love for her pups Oreo and Baby Girl, but most of all she loved her babies.
Survivors include: one daughter: Alice Boone Griffin (Kenny) of Harrodsburg, KY; ; she also has three grandchildren: Austin Griffin (Michaela), Chris Griffin (Abby) & Allison Weissrock (Trevor); six great grandchildren, Marci, Dallas, Roman, Bentlee, Aiden, and coming soon Anderson.
Funeral services will be 1pm Thursday; November 6 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Derek Baker & Phil Yates. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Pallbearers will be: Austin Griffin, Chris Griffin, Trevor Weissrock, Brock McGinnis, Levi Griffin and Justin Merriman. Honorary bearers will be: Robbie Griffin, William Watts, Robert Fairchild, Larry Fairchild and Her Great Grandchildren .
