Shirley Byers, age 79, of Harrodsburg died Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Harrodsburg Health and Rehabilitation in Harrodsburg, KY. Born May 11, 1946 in Clementsville, KY, to the late Dennis Dale and Mary Helen (Hogue) Wethington. Shirley received her Master’s Degree when she was 50 years old and retired from Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital as a Social Worker.

She is survived by one daughter: Lenore (Marty) Gray of Salvisa, KY; one sister: Linda Floyd; one bonus daughter, Stephanie Byers; one bonus Granddaughter, Pamela Byers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Darrel and Dale Wethington.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
