Elaine Joan “Lovey” Wooldridge, 91 of Harrodsburg passed away Thursday December 4, 2025 at her home with family by her side. Elaine was born November 9, 1934 in Adena, Ohio to the late George and Helen (Bodak) Holyak. Elaine graduated from Adena High School where she was a majorette for over 4 years. She moved from Cleveland, Ohio to Harrodsburg, Kentucky 1972 with Eaton Corporation (later Modine MFG) as secretary to the General Manager for 41 years. She ended up retiring from Modine and started a new career as secretary at Whitaker Bank (formerly State Bank) for a number of years.

Elaine was involved in the community in various capacities. She was secretary to the Woman’s Bowling League in Danville, Kentucky, member of Chamber of Commerce, board director of Mercer Senior Citizens, member and president of the Business and Professional Woman’s Club and later served as State President, board of Woman’s Democratic Party, was part of the drama board and ethics board and other charitable organizations. Elaine’s outside interests included golfing, bowling and bingo but her biggest joy was playing poker or going to the casinos.

Elaine married the love of her life, Al Wooldridge on October 5, 1955. After 62 years of marriage, Elaine lost Al in 2017. She is survived by her children, Terri (Allen) McQuerry, Bruce (Debbie) Wooldridge and her siblings Linda Bandyk, Robert Holyak, Diane Holyak, and Larry Holyak. She was blessed with five grandchildren; Tara, Travis, Brooke, Brittani, Brandi and Jacob and Thirteen great grandchildren.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Al, her parents and siblings; George "Hawk", Carole Jeskey, Sandra Malisiak, Joyce Anderson, Shirley Utter, Joan Donley and Jerry Holyak.

A heartfelt thank you for the loving care Bruce and Debbie gave to Elaine and to the staff at Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care.

A Celebration of Life will be held 10am December 13,2025 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1125 Danville Road, Harrodsburg KY, 40330 with Father Edwin Netlas officiating.
