Geraldine Chapman, age 96, widow of Marion “Julian” Chapman, of Harrodsburg KY died Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at home in Harrodsburg with her family by her side. Born December 24, 1928 in Jessamine Co. KY, to the late John and Pearl (Spurlock) Welch. She was a member of Clover Bottom Baptist Church in Versailles KY and retired from State Bank as the Head Cashier. Geraldine loved Florida in which she lived for multiple years, shopping for antiques, doing puzzles and most of all gardening and working in the yard.

She is survived by one son: Donnie (Teresa) Chapman of Harrodsburg, KY; four grandchildren: Jeffery (Amanda) Chapman, Lee Heathman, Jarrod Fate and Carolyn (Jim) Ryder; five great grandchildren: Benjamin Lane, Adam Heathman, Gabriel Stone, Ryvers Fate and Embrlynn Fate.

She is preceded in death by her parents John and Pearl Welch and her five siblings.

The grave side service will be 1pm on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Spring Hill Cemetery Pavilion, 529 N Greenville St, Harrodsburg, KY 40330, with Doug Wesley officiating.
