Bettie Yeaste Obituary

Bettie Randolph Yeaste, age 91, widow of H.C. Yeaste, of Harrodsburg passed away February 1st 2026 at Walkers Trail in Danville, KY with her family by her side. Born December 20, 1934, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky to the late George Beckham Randolph and Alma Demaree Lay. She was a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church for 63 years and until her health would no longer allow, she was active in her Sunday School and often volunteered to serve however she could. This often led to her providing rides for elderly shut-ins who had no way to medical appointments, delivering hot soup to those who were sick and unable to care for themselves, or writing cards of encouragement to many.

She retired from the Kentucky Department of Revenue; however, she spent much of her working years as an entrepreneur having owned and operated two grocery stores, shoe store, as well as an auction house. She enjoyed having meals with her dear friends, visiting with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. When her mobility became limited, she enjoyed long car rides through the countryside, listening to her favorite Bible teachers and theologians, as well as taking partin activities at Walkers Trail.

Survivors include: one daughter, Pam (Buddy) Jackson of Lebanon, OH; one son, Ed (Genger) Yeaste of Centerville, OH; five grandchildren, Dan (Alison) Jackson, Mike (Amanda) Jackson, Joshua (Ginny) Yeaste, Kara (Brad) Dober, Tori (Wes) Clark; eleven great-grandchildren, Annabell, Tyler, Bryce, Myla, Eliza, Libby, Kaylee, Will, J.J., Conrad, and Findlay; and a very special nephew Bill (Sue) Smith whom she thought of like a son.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Georgia Randolph Smith and Peggy Randolph Smithers.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E.
