Virgil Lee "Bud" Milton Obituary
Virgil Lee “Bud” Milton, 74, Harrodsburg, KY, widower of Janet Godbey and Lynn Davis, died Saturday, March 7, 2026, at his home. Born April 30, 1952, in Forrest City, AR, he was the son of the late John and the late Mary Meadie (Wright) Milton. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer for the US Navy serving in Vietnam and the Gulf. After the Navy, Bud enjoyed fishing, old cars and just liked to “piddle” with things, and considered himself and self employed consultant.
Survivors include a daughter: Bonnie June (Brandon) Keeton of Harrodsburg, KY and three step-sons: Michael Joe Redding, Patrick Redding and Timothy Case; three sisters: Patsy Grief, Betty Land and Margaret Smith; he also has two grandchildren: Dylan Devine and Dakota Milton and six step grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by two wives: Janet G. Milton, and Mary Lynn Milton (Davis).
The Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington St., Harrodsburg, KY with Dave Menser officiating. Visitation will be 1-2pm, Saturday, also at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Private burial will be in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
