It is with deep sorrow that the family of Dewana Arzetta (Posey) Anderson announce her passing on April 14, 2026 after a brave battle with cancer.

Dewana was a devoted follower of Christ. She found comfort and strength from her faith in the Lord and the promise of eternal life. Her bible was always nearby. She had a love for animals and gave more than one stray cat a loving home.

She was born to Eugene and Shelby (Whisman) Posey on May 11, 1963 in Pikeville KY. While she was raised in Pikeville, she spent her later years residing in Harrodsburg KY.

She is survived by her sister Connie Goldthwait, her brother Kevin Posey, her nieces Katherine Kubarek and Emily Goldthwait and a great niece and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Kathy Posey, her husband Timothy Anderson, her beloved daughter Ashlee Danielle (Anderson) Pendygraft and her granddaughter Khylee Tru Pendygraft.

Dewana was blessed with devoted friends. They were there for her in good times and in her time of need. We thank them!

Her family wishes to acknowledge Heritage Hospice and her team of caregivers. They were wonderful in their care for her. We are deeply grateful.

Dewana requested there be no services and we will honor her memory with love and kindness for one another.
