Vena Mae Preston, age 94, widow of Harold R. Preston of Lexington died Monday, April 13, 2026 at Baptist Health in Lexington, KY. Born December 2, 1931 in Bohon, KY to the late Robert Lowell and Lelia (Burns) Sheperson. She was a member of Bluegrass Bible Fellowship and was a homemaker and missionary for many years.

She is survived by: three daughters: Deborah (Alex) Poulter of Lexington, KY, Rebecca (Danny) Chapman of Louisville, KY and Cindy (Daryl) Hampton of Crockett, TX, and two sons: Jonathan (Linda) Preston and David Preston both of Houston, TX; She also has sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Harold Renwick Preston, and Son, Renwick Preston, Daughter In Law Jane Preston, and her brothers Vincent, Robert L., Gerald and Condit Sheperson.

The funeral will be held 2pm on Saturday May 2, 2026 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 East Lexington Street, Harrodsburg, KY with Allen Tucker, Jim Harmon and Bruce Frost officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, 1325 Cummins Ferry Rd, Salvisa KY. Visitation will be 11am-2pm Saturday May 2, 2026 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
