Betty Jo Peavler, age 97, of Harrodsburg, KY, widow of Llewellyn Peavler, died Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Harrodsburg Health & Rehab of Harrodsburg, KY. Betty Jo was born March 10, 1929 in Harrodsburg, KY. She is the daughter of the late Dewey and Ruby (Graves) Matherly. She was a homemaker and had worked as an Interpreter at Shaker Village for several years. Betty Jo was a member of member of the Bruner's Chapel Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 65 years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her cat, Alice.

Survivors include: one daughter: Vicki Bell (Francois) Botha of Harrodsburg, KY, two sons, Clinton (Karen) Peavler, and Brooks (Pat) Peavler, both of Harrodsburg, KY; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

Betty Jo was preceded in death by a brother, Edgar "Sonny" Matherly, and a sister, Dixie Huffman.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington St., Harrodsburg, KY with Jordan Asbury officiating. Burial will follow in Bruner's Chapel Cemetery, Mackville Road, Harrodsburg, KY.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 21st from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

Pallbearers are Chad, Clay, Tyler, Garrett, and Collin Peavler, and Cully Bell.
