Michael Ray Goodlett, age 72, of Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Karen Johnson Goodlett, died Friday, May 8, 2026 at Ephraim McDowell - James B Haggin Hospital of Harrodsburg, KY. Michael was born December 11, 1953 in Harrodsburg, KY, to the late Charles and Cora (Gritton) Goodlett Sr..

He was a retired Lab Technician in the Engineering Dept. of IBM Inc. and LexMark, having worked there for 31 years. Michael was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church. He enjoyed fishing, yard sales, gardening, wheeling & dealing, but mostly, he loved time with his grandchildren. Michael was also known as the "Mayo Picker."

Survivors include: his wife, Karen (Johnson) Goodlett, Mercer Co.; two daughters, Sessani (Kevin) Withers of Mercer Co. and Hope (Darren) Ransdell of Mercer Co.; three sisters, Jean Blackburn, Brenda (Bob) Drury and Gaye Goodlett; four brothers, Cleo (Patty) Goodlett, John Alvin (Nancy) Goodlett, Jerry (Charlene) Goodlett and Tommy (Pat) Goodlett; four grandchildren, Taylor & Brooklyn Withers, and Bella & Reese Ransdell.

Michael was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Jr., Donald, David, Leon, James & Joe Goodlett, and sister, Linda G. Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Mt. Pleasant Church, 446 Mt. Pleasant Road, Harrodsburg, KY with Derek Baker and Cleo Goodlett officiating. Burial will follow in the Mayo Christian Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 5-8 PM and Wednesday, May 13th, from 9:00 am until time of service at Mt. Pleasant Church.

Pallbearers are: Bella and Reese Ransdell, Taylor and Brooklyn Withers, Darren Ransdell, Kevin Withers, David, Stephen, Chris, Nick, Kevin, and Todd Goodlett, Brian Hopson, and Richard McCroskey.
