Nikki Lee Householder McRay, age 82, wife of Earl C. McRay, of Harrodsburg KY, died Monday, June 29, 2026, at home in Harrodsburg KY surrounded by family. Born March 7, 1944, in Madison County TN to the late Myron Carr and Anna Lee (Wade) Householder. Nikki watched Southland Christian Church, was an avid reader and loved making bracelets to give to others to remind them they are special. She spent 46 years of her life as a nurse providing care for babies and their families. She loved butterscotch pie, banana ice cream and watching the many birds feed from all her feeders she had placed out for them.
She is survived by her husband: Earl McRay, two daughters: Robyn McRay of Harrodsburg KY and Amy (Jason) Lessenberry of Glasgow KY, and one son: Michael (Leigh) McRay of Burgin KY; two sisters: Mary Ann Kreider and Myrna Benge both of Danville KY; and four grandchildren Jacob Lister, Adam McRay, Alex McRay and Kylie Lessenberry; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by parents Myron Carr and Anna Lee Householder, and her brother in laws Benny Benge and Russell Kreider.
Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Monday July 6, 2026, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington Street Harrodsburg KY 40330 with Justin Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday July 6, 2026, from 11am-1pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Alex McRay, Adam McRay, Jacob Lister, Keith McRay and Landon McRay, and Luke McQueen. Honorary pallbearers will be Kylie Lessenberry.
Memorials are suggested to Heritage Hospice at 120 Enterprise Drive Danville KY, 40422.
