Shirley Phillips Wheeler, age 68, widow of Charles David Wheeler, of Harrodsburg died Monday, August 3, 2026, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Hospital in Danville, KY. Born May 25, 1958, in Harrodsburg, KY to the late Dave and Gertrude (Riley) Phillips. She was a member of Ellers Memorial Baptist Church in Harrodsburg KY and retired from multiple places; Mercer Co. School Systems as a bus monitor, Shaker Village and Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital as a cleaning lady. Shirley was a devoted mother and loved Conway Twitty and George Strait, before Charles passed, she got to see George Strait at Rupp Arena and got to meet Conway Twitty prior to that.

She is survived by one son: Charles "C.D." David Wheeler Jr. of Harrodsburg, KY and several loving friends who are also members of Ellers Memorial Baptist Church.

The funeral will be held at 1pm on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington Street, Harrodsburg, KY with David Woodward officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg KY. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Monday prior to service.

Pallbearers will be Gary Bailey, Bentley Jones, David Baker, Kent Omer, Henry Peavler and Tim Fletcher.
