Laura Alice Drury Obituary

Laura Alice Drury, age 74, Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, September 20, 2006 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY.


Born August 19, 1932 in Lawrenceburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Harry Anderson and Temperance (Peyton) Drury. She was a Waitress at Howard Johnson in Lexington and also the Redwood Restaurant in Harrodsburg for several years. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and attended Harrodsburg Baptist.


Survivors include: two sisters: Emma Jean Kelly of Danville, Juliet Drury of Harrodsburg, and three brothers: Homer “Buster” Drury, Oliver Drury both of Knoxville, TN, Fred Drury of Harrodsburg, KY, and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters: Lois Medley and Frances Sames and two brothers: James and Calvin Drury.


Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, September 23, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Larry Camic. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.


Casket Bearers are: Donald, Ronnie and David Drury, Charlie Mingo, Thorn Hauk and Clinton Medley


Visitation will be Friday, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. and Saturday prior to Service at Funeral Chapel


Memorial contributions may be sent to U. K. Children´s Cancer Program.
