Obituary of Lillie Margaret “Maggie” Releford

Maggie Releford, 88, Harrodsburg, widow of Thomas H. Releford, died Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born September 24, 1921 in Springfield, KY, she was the daughter of the late C.T. and Minnie (Key) Black Pearson. She was a retired seamstress from Cricketeer Manufacturing Company, and a member of the Ellers Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include: Nephew, Bobby Black whom she raised as son, along with his deceased brother Ralph Edward Black; niece, Mary Evelyn Black; Great Nephew, Jock Edward Black and Sister-in-Law, Nora Black all of Harrodsburg. She was predeceased by two sisters: Minnie Lee Day and Mary McCormick and four brothers: Amos Black, Clifford “Tiff” Black, J.D. Black and Robert J. Black Sr... Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM, Monday, March 29 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Donnie Releford. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Billy Releford, Cleo Releford, Roger Goodlett, Leroy Releford, Bobby Black, Paul Collier, Burford Feltner, Arvid Tackett and Scotty Southerland. Visitation will be Sunday, March 28 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, and prior to the service on Monday. Memorial contributions may be sent to American Heart Association.
