Myrtle McRay, age 87, Harrodsburg, wife of Oscar “Emerson” McRay, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the Golden Living Center, Stanford, KY. Born March 25, 1923 in Mercer County, KY, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Flora Mae (Collier) Bugg. She was a retired seamstress from Cricketeer Manufacturing and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church. Survivors include: her husband: Oscar Emerson McRay, three daughters: Dixie Walls and Kathy (Bob) Clark of Burgin, Rita (Kerry) Anness of Harrodsburg, and one son: Gary (Sandy) McRay of OH; Eleven Grandchildren, Eleven Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 10 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John Hockersmith and Wayne Spivey. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Kyle Anness, Rob Clark, Stuart Woods, Andrew Curtsinger, Taylor Darland and Colton Darland. Visitation will be Saturday, April 10 from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of one’s choice.
